Jonathan Mickaël ANDREAS is a civil servant and climate policy specialist with over nine years of experience in climate action, project management, and international and bilateral cooperation. He previously served as Madagascar Landscape Coordinator at the British Embassy in Antananarivo, overseeing the portfolio of the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) in Madagascar, and formerly held the position of Division Chief at Madagascar’s Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development. Throughout his career, he has contributed to the implementation of environmental and climate policies and actively participated in negotiations under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change process. Jonathan holds a master’s degree in business law and is dedicated to strengthening environmental governance and enhancing the resilience of vulnerable communities through multistakeholder collaboration, including private sector engagement. He is both a Chevening Scholarship scholar and a 2023 Mandela Washington Fellowship fellow at Cornell University, where he studied Public Management.
