I am Hortensia Hosnah, a conservation professional from in Diego-Suarez, with over ten years of expertise in biodiversity conservation, particularly in the management of protected areas. My work centres on safeguarding ecosystems while fostering inclusive, community-based approaches that enhance sustainable livelihoods. A Chevening Scholar awarded in 2024, I completed a 12-month MSc in Conservation Leadership at the University of the West of England in Bristol, UK. This experience deepened my knowledge in conservation governance, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement within complex socio-ecological systems. I am dedicated to promoting ethical conservation that honours both local communities and biodiversity. Précieux G. Rajaofera is a lawyer, development practitioner, and youth leader with over seven years of experience. In 2018, He founded MATOE Association, a youth movement that has empowered more than 3,000 young people to become active citizens and leaders advancing development and democratic governance in Madagascar. Recognized internationally for his impact on youth empowerment and civic leadership, he has twice been selected by the United States Department of State for prestigious leadership fellowships. He was a Mandela Washington Fellow at the University of Delaware in 2019 and a Community Engagement Exchange Fellow at Civics Unplugged in New York in 2022. Précieux holds an MA in Development Studies with specialisation in politics, governance and development from the University of Sussex and a Master of Laws from the Madagascar’s National Center for Distance Learning (CNTEMAD). His expertise includes youth empowerment, governance, politics, social protection, corporate social responsibility, and international development aid.
