Rio holds a postgraduate degree in Endangered Species Recovery from University of Kent and the Mauritian Wildlife Foundation, as well as an MRes in Primate Biology and Conservation from University of Roehampton. He has over 16 years of experience in primate conservation and has developed strong expertise in lemur behavior and conservation. Rio is also a National Geographic Society Explorer. Currently, he serves as a lecturer at University of Antsiranana in Northern Madagascar. His interests include conservation education, leadership, and environmental sustainability.
