Stéphane MAMININDRIANA holds an MSc in Environment, Politics and Development from SOAS, University of London, where his academic formation was enriched by a strong engagement with African Studies and decolonial thought. He brings over a decade of experience in operations management, governance, and institutional compliance, with a focus on risk management, coordination, and organizational effectiveness. His professional background reflects a strong commitment to leadership, accountability, and sustainable development in Madagascar.

His academic work examines the intersections of energy sovereignty, decolonial political ecology, and just development pathways in the Global South. Stéphane is particularly interested in how historical legacies, power relations, and policy choices shape environmental and development outcomes. Through his Chevening experience, he aims to contribute to innovative, context-specific solutions that advance inclusive development, social justice, and long-term resilience in Madagascar and beyond.
