Valimbavaka Raherimananjara (Val) is a political and policy analyst and public‑policy researcher who builds expertise at the intersection of politics, economic governance, and historical dynamics. She is a PhD candidate in the History Department at the University of Antananarivo, where her research examines how social tensions and conflicts linked to natural and mineral resources structure, evolve, and distribute themselves across space and time in southwestern Madagascar. She holds a Master of Arts in Administration and Public Policy from the University of York, supported by a Chevening Scholarship, as well as a Master of Research in Management Science and a Master’s degree in financial and accounting sciences from INSCAE, giving her a strong multidisciplinary grounding in public policy, governance, and political economy. Valimbavaka is also Vice‑President of Teach Homeless Kids for Madagascar, where she leads street‑based education initiatives for children living on the margins of urban society, and she regularly participates in public‑engagement and speaker‑series events that highlight African youth perspectives and civic leadership.
